Faster than a speeding bullet, faster than a freight train downhill in a hurricane! ATV Rider breaks the sound barrier! What? Oh crap! Okay, take back the fast stuff, we're breaking the sound barrier in a different way, by offering MP3s of all the pipes from our Yamaha YFZ450 pipe shootout. Initially, we thought about adding those tiny devices in birthday cards that play crummy beeping renditions of happy birthday, but we destroyed the prototypes in testing, and once the bigwigs found out what we were up to, they wisely nixed the idea.
For this test, we only selected pipes that are Forest service friendly, so they had to make 96db, with a 2db leeway. You can catch the full ratings, dyno results and comments in the November 2004 issue of ATV Rider.
Clicking on the links next to the picture of each pipe should download the file, allowing you to play it for the mutual enjoyment of your coworkers, significant other, etc. If you need help figuring this out, we don't really do that, but if you've got kids who swap music on the internet, they should be able to help you out. We suggest cranking the volume waaaay up!
